St. Anthony-St. Paul School believes that Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) is the time to turn your curious child into an active, interested student who looks forward to going to school. A love of learning that begins in Pre-K starts your child down the road that leads to success in high school and beyond.
The goal of our Pre-K Program is to provide a nurturing and unique learning environment which is designed to take advantage of the child’s sensitive years between the ages of three and five, including his/her religious development.
Universal Pre-K (UPK) is excellent, high quality Pre-K education for 4-year-olds, available at no cost, regardless of household income. Offered in partnership with New York State and the local public school district, UPK is designed to help more children begin their education at an early age and get a solid start on the road to active learning – and it’s completely free!
St. Anthony-St. Paul Early Childhood Campus UPK program has roughly 18-20 children in each class. Sessions are Monday-Friday mornings (8:00 - 10:30am) or afternoons (12:00-2:30pm) for 2 ½ hours. For students interested in a full-day program, we offer a Wrap Around Program and/or Before and After Care programs for an additional fee. Registration for UPK program is administered by the Childcare Resources of Rockland and is a lottery system. Click here for more information on deadline and application requirements.
Working families often seek a safe, structured full-day learning environment for their 4-year-olds. Our Wrap-Around Program for 4-year-old UPK participants is an excellent and affordable option for you. These extended hours offer students the same centers-based approach they experience during UPK/Pre-K, reinforcing and enhancing their overall school experience. By enrolling in the Wrap-Around program, families with students in a half-day UPK sessions can have a full-day of Pre-K at a very reasonable price. During the time they are not in the free UPK session, your child will join the regular tuition-based Pre-K 4 class.
